Countdown to the elections

For every election, the IEC publishes a timetable, usually spanning between 80- and 90 days, containing key dates and deadlines for the upcoming elections.

The timetable is issued immediately after the proclamation of the election date and provides parties, candidates and voters with important information, about finalising the voters’ roll, nomination of candidates, voting outside your voting outside your voting district or overseas, final list of parties participating in the elections and special votes.
