Africa Check’s fact-checking and verification workshops equip participants with the necessary theoretical knowledge and practical skills to stop the spread of false information.
Africa Check shows you how to sort fact from fiction – from spotting false information and verifying the origin of images and videos shared on social media to finding accurate data online.

The two-day fact-checking and verification workshops will cover how and why false information spreads, examples of false information to be on the lookout for during the election, how to identify “fact-checkable” claims, how to write a fact-checking report, where to find accurate information and online data from credible sources, how to identify false information on social media, how to verify the origin of images and videos, and how to identify AI-generated visuals.
